Samsung A887 Solstice: Get Rid Of The Bulk
The Samsung A887 Solstice seems a very decent phone to me. I haven’t bought it yet but I intend to. Lately I have been reading a lot on this phone and so went ahead to a store just to check it out. I have come across many people who draw a comparison between this one and iPhone which I think is not justified as this one comes cheaper and is much more compact that i-Phone. This phone is probably one of the lightest touch-phone around with a weight of just 94 grams. The touch screen appeared quite nice to me, not too bright but still with good colours, certainly better than most phones in the same price range. More over there’s also a built-in accelerometer included in the phone the enable UI auto-rotate. The phone has got a really clean and straightforward design and it’s pretty ergonomics speaks volumes for it. I believe that texting messages and mails won’t be much hectic as the touch-QWERTY keypads has big keys on the screen.
This is a quad-band GSM unit which also supports dual-band 3G service. So data access should be pretty fast. In addition there are Class10 GPRS and Class10 EDGE. I am sure this phone will turn out to be a very handy and convenient multimedia device as the media player is quite versatile and there is also an FM radio included in it. Though the phone camera is restricted to only 2 mega pixels, it’s capable of taking decent pictures. Bluetooth and USB are also included along with the GPS receiver with A-GPS support. As compared to it’s pricing I believe that the Samsung A887 Solstice comes with a lot of goodies to entice people. Moreover it’s so light and handy that it’s just fun to carry it along in the pocket. It’s pretty new to the market as it was only released a couple of months back and probably I will wait for another month before getting it.
